Wednesdays from 1 – 3 pm we have a representative from Bassett Medical Center at the library to assist with finding and setting up health insurance through the NY State of Health. If you need assistance, or have questions, please stop by and meet Sandra Besaw – Community Health Navigator and she can assist you.
We have Belly Dancing Classes available every Wednesday at 5 pm at the library, with Annie Lecompte-Maynard. Each class is $5.00 per student.
Stop by while you are trick or treating on Halloween! We will be handing out treats and at 4 pm will be a hauntingly fun story hour!
Crochet Circle will begin on October 9th, at 5pm and we will be holding this every Wednesday at the library. If you have signed up already, welcome and we look forward to seeing you. If you would like to be a part of this group, please come in and sign up, the more the merrier!
For our first project, I would like to start on mittens, hats and scarfs for the community to place on a mitten tree in the library this December.
I would like to extend a thank you to the The Quarter Inch Quilt Club for their generous donation of beautiful bags which they made specifically for the library to sell. There are several sizes, colors and designs with varying prices; great for your books, groceries or just your everyday purse. The photos attached are only a small sample of this wonderful work done by these fantastic ladies.
Please stop in and check out these bags which will be on sale here at the library, and at the bookstore next door. I’m sure you will find one you will fall in love with!
Today was our final story time for this Summer. Thank you all for attending, and stay tuned for this fall story time startup with Barb Golja. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
